Weather

Enurian is located in a weird space and time. It lies on the precipice at the edge of its world, the last rays of an event horizon seen just over the horizon at the northernmost point of the island. Gods and dieties and monsters alike roam the land. Curses and blessings persist in flora and fauna. The last remnants of an extinct civilization lay scattered across the island. So it stands to reason, then, that in such a strange world, the weather may not be exactly regular, either.

Because Enurian has many different climates and formations, the weather varies greatly from area to area. Some weather events affect the entire island at once, while others are much more localized, happening only in small regions.

Blood Rain

Throughout the Floodplains, Basin Desert.

Instead of normal rain, a rich, iron-laden rain falls from the sky. Though the water has the same hue as blood, and the same, metallic taste, it does not actually contain any blood. Though the plants in these areas have evolved to tolerate this weather, bloodferns actually require it to grow, and are often seen following the storms.

Constructs are incredibly family oriented. They live in small packs of five to seven, and finding a single loner is incredibly rare. Even loners will occasionally connect with other loners to hunt down particularly cunning quarry.

Endless Day

Island-wide

Though the days and nights are rarely ever the full 24 hours they're supposed to be, generally, they tend to stick within the same timeframe.

During the Endless Day weather, the sun does not set on Enurian for a minimum of 48 hours, up to several months. During this time, the Basin Desert becomes near-uninhabitable, flora wither from the heat cast by the ever-present sun, and water sources dry up. However, supernatural events are not seen during this time.

Endless Night

Island-wide

Similarly to the Endless Day, during the Endless Night, the sun does not rise for a minimum of 48 hours, up to several months. During this time, the Northern Jungle and both mountain ranges become near-uninhabitable, flora withers from the lack of sun, and monsters hiding on the island become much more courageous.

Wandering Star

Island-wide

Less of a weather event and more of an astronomical one, the wandering constellation, Sollock, appears in a different patch of sky each and every night. Different locations are said to mean different things, and occasionally influences weather patterns (or prophetsizes them) throughout the island.
